Little boy harassed at Starbucks for eating a Jollibee burger
“I was in line ordering three drinks and a donut when the security guard approached my dad (who is a senior citizen) and asked him to make my son stop eating his Jollibee cheeseburger. My dad replied that my son was only a kid and that he likes to eat his cheeseburger already. The guard replied that it’s against the rules to eat non-Starbucks food inside the shop. My dad then told him that I was in line at the counter ordering our drinks. The guard still reiterated his point.
Now, I would’ve have understood his point had we been just sitting there, going on a picnic and ordering nothing at the counter. I would’ve have let go of this incident if it were a normal adult munching on that cheeseburger and not a little boy. That little boy was the reason why we were in the shop in the first place; he was the one who wanted to eat your donuts after finishing off his cheeseburger.”
A mother wrote to Starbucks in the Philippines about the verbal abuse her family received while eating non-Starbucks food. (Photo by himantayon) Two weeks have passed and still no reply which leads the eloquent letter writer to conclude:
sa mahabang listahan na kailangan ng Pilipinas, sa aking palagay, Consumer Activism ang isa na dapat nating matutunan. kung ang dulot ng globalisasyon ay ang pagka-alipin ng mga developing nations sa mga economic superpower, ay tunay nga namang nakakairita ito. hindi lamang ito usapin ng Jollibee vs Starbucks sa sarili nating bayan. usapin ito ng karahasang epistomolohikal na unti-unting kumakain sa ating karimlan. “

wow, i though that you cannot the kind of food that the starbucks also sells.. for example donuts or cakes..
because if they will prevent others from eating foods that was not bought from the store, then why dont they stop the smokers who also didnt bought their cigarettes at starbucks… hmmm
