Get jailed if you don’t sing our national anthem “with fervor”
According to the law, when the National Anthem is played at a public gathering, the attendees should sing the anthem and that the “singing must be done with fervor.”
This and many other cool facts about our flag are shared by lawyers from thelegallyinclined blog:
- You must stand at attention when Lupang Hinirang is played! If not, you could get fined 5k - 10k or 1 year imprisonment
- It should always be at the left side of a stage
- If hanging from roads, it should face east on a north/south road and face north on an east/west road
