As Ridiculous as a Horse Wearing Pantyhose

Here’s a round up of what Pinoy bloggers are saying about yesterday’s inter-faith rally.

According to Market Manila, “A good sign of a successful rally is the variety of street food, snacks and drinks on offer.” If we go by their standards then last Friday’s rally in Makati was a definite success! Check out their photos of the different street food for sale! From the standard balut, roasted peanuts with garlic, fish balls, lumpia, turon and green mango to more exotic fare such as kakanin, fresh corn, sampalok, ice candy, deep fried intestines, popcorn (!) and yema! An impressive spread!

No fly zone = no aerial shots. No problem! cyberbaguioboy shares his exclusive street video clips of the masses of people as well as some shots from inquirer VDO!

The Professional Heckler also had a round up of the rally! My favorite was his sage words: “scandal whistleblower Rodolfo “Jun” Lozada drew the loudest cheers from the crowd – automatically making him the frontrunner for the opposition’s 2010 senatorial draft.

Celdran Tours posited an alternative view on this inter-faith rally: “anything that mixes politics and religion seems as ridiculous to me as a horse wearing pantyhose.” He continues with “This whole People Power BS is soooo totally going in the wrong direction and it’s just becoming boring, annoying and sad.

And finally, from txtbuff

GMA: Sna palarin ako na makamit ang katangian ni Cory at Susan.
BUNYI: Ano po ba yun, Ma’am?
GMA: ung pagiging biyuda nila.. wala sanang problema ang bayan!
